Intelligent trolleys for tool controlling at Iberia
TORSESA has developed for Iberia, a comprehensive service. Technical support to specify the tools, implementation of the systems and user training.
TORSESA, in collaboration with Iberia, has developed several projects at its aircraft maintenance facilities in La Muñoza (Madrid), with the aim of optimizing the management of existing tools and the incorporation of new ones. To this end, we have implemented the use of intelligent trolleys for tool control, innovative solutions for marking and locating tools on manual trolleys, briefcases and workshop furniture.
We provide technical support for tool definition, tool labeling, drawer container sizing, optimal tool placement, foam tooling, Snap-On ATC trolley software programming, commissioning and user training.
Each tool trolley is equipped with an artificial recognition system, known as ATC (Automatic Tooling Control), whose main advantage is that it avoids FOD (Foreign Object Damage) by being under computer control. Our system keeps this risk under control, since the user uses a card to access the cart and the system recognizes the loan of tools to the user through camera scanning. The return is done in the same way, with all movements recorded. The most remarkable aspect of the process is that this control is automatic. The user does not have to do anything.
The next step is the installation of the ATC in the company network to access the system and the communication processes related to the calibration, inspection or repair of tools.
It is important to note that, in addition to developing automated systems, at TORSESA we are responsible for offering a complete service of tool control solutions, adapting them to the needs and requirements of each position.
